A tribute to those who care, guide, and lead by example!
This Sunday, Brazil celebrates Father’s Day. The date was once observed on August 16, which is the feast day of Saint Joachim, father of the Virgin Mary and grandfather of Jesus.
The first celebration in Brazil took place in 1953. The date was introduced by advertising executive Sylvio Bhering, both to recognize the paternal role and for commercial purposes, following the model of Mother’s Day. Over time, the second Sunday of August became the chosen day, as the weekend proved to be more convenient for bringing families together.
On this day, we celebrate all those who, with care and responsibility, embrace the role of a father: people whose presence and affection make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
Fatherhood is much more than a family role… it is about presence, leadership, and affection, both at home and beyond. At MZF4, this care and responsibility remain alive in our culture, a legacy from our founder who built values that transcend generations. May this day be marked by recognition and gratitude for those who inspire, protect, and walk side by side, hand in hand with the future!
